Healing, Refreshing, Bashan.

What to Bring

  • Food

Bring your own non-perishable provisions. We have no refrigeration or ice available. What to bring… MREs, jerky, crackers, energy bars, trail mix, nuts, dried fruit, fresh apples and Oranges last a while and are great for hikes. Potatoes, and other root veggies make good soup and last a while or you can get dried veggies at your local health food store… think survival be creative. Bring water bottles (we have well water on the property and a place where you can fill your containers). One simple meal a day will be made available with prior arrangements and at cost of supplies, group members are requested to participate in meal preparation, service and clean up.

  • Clothing

Please wear clothes that you are not attached to, the grubbier the better… if you are a sister that is accustomed to wearing dresses you will need to find more suitable attire… an oversized pair of overalls may do the job. Wear clothing that is loose fitting and comfortable… Jeans or rough rugged pants are best for this type of terrain, only long shorts (to the knee, this applies to men and woman) are acceptable but be aware of the bushes. Loose fitting T-shirts, sweat shirts, (please refer to the General info page for seasonal temps and bring clothing that will accommodate weather changes during your stay including rain gear if applicable). And maybe a hat if you like to wear one. Please be aware of what you wear and how it may look to others, dress modestly.FoodBring your own non-perishable provisions. • Footwear

A good pair of hiking tennis-type shoes are best, hiking boots, snow boots (for winter) or what ever you are most comfortable in except sandals (NO SANDALS for your own safety). Over boot covers are good to have during monsoon season (or bring a pair of rubber boots for sloshing in the mud…lots of fun!)…a pair of slip on comfortable shoes are nice for evenings and sitting around the campfire.
